Summary

#0686 ** Aug 13, 1990 ** – 1:04
Notes by TK

Kyroot to :06. All systems (including institutions and individuals) lacking specific knowledge compensate by self-reference. All systems in part refer to themselves; all systems only refer to themselves. All systems at the Secondary Level must define and establish themselves in order to operate. A superb indication of Secondary Level expertise in the City: continued self-advertising of goods and services even after they are purchased/booked and in commercial use. E.g., U-haul trucks.

This is a self-fueling arrangement: they pay their own way and then some. This is the ultimate self-advertising: self-reference. And for men in the Secondary Level World it is possible not to be self-referential. Words are always attempting to spread themselves, to reproduce in others.

1:03 Epilogue. New people are welcome to see old videos and use excursions in them if desired.

If you,
Only have one view,
You might as well have, The right view.

There is,
A distinction between,
Submission,
Domination and,
Affection,
But it’s hardly even worth,
The time it takes,
Just to make note of it.

Morality is the Infinite Set,
Of Secondary possibilities.

It is surprising,
How easily fooled,
Are the rich and powerful, Unless held up next to the,
Poor and impotent. …(And,
Let that be a, Lesson to you.)

In the City,
All counting is binary;
All figuring dualistic, …But – Hey!,
All totals duplictic. That’s how,
The boss wants it.)

As the speed,
Of the train increases,
The distance between stations shrinks.

What institutions, organizations and individuals lack in certain knowledge
they make up for in talk about themselves.

Bad news,
Is not so bad,
Unless you feel bad.

Everything,
Has a hidden cost.
(“If you don’t believe it”,
Said an ole sore head, “Just try living.”)

Struggling in a 3-D world, I suspect one should not, ergo;
Look a gift mouth in the horse, Sitting quietly,
In the back,
Will at least,
Keep you from,
Being one of the
Noisy ones up front.

Sex is probably the closest men come to feeling like they may indeed have finally turned processes into a thing-specific.

One guy slapped his chest and roared,
“I have longings for greatness within me.”,
And one of his relatives thought,
“It’s a good thing longings won’t kill you.”,
And one of his kin added,
“Yeah, and withins too.”

Graffiti on the walls of a,
Neural nursery school,
(It was actually a middle school,
But you see the alliterative consequences,
Of saying “nursery”), any how,
Back to what you were saying – the graffiti;
“Being old won’t hurt you.”
Followed by,
“Being old won’t help.”
And next to that,
“Being old is never what the young imagine it to be.”,
And next to that stood an ole timer who added,
“Hell, being old isn’t even what the old imagine it to be.”

At one of those synaptic-ally “cute”,
Cocktail parties I am sometimes,
Forced to attend,
(For tax purpose, you understand),
I overheard one attendee aver,
(After a dramatic stare into his champagne flute),
“You know,
Reading history’s just like,
Reading a book.”
(He finished with,
An additional,
Flurry of flute stares.)

If you have,
A defensible position, It will ultimately, Need,
Defending.

If there were,
Actual,
“Rules To Live By”,
I’m not at all sure,
There’ld be that many people,
Interested in living.

One little fellow,
After suddenly realizing,
The potentially metaphorical, Significance of all the world’s “Holy Books”, said,
“Well I’ll be darned.”

…and Kyroot said:
Most of man’s great ideas started out as something else.
03/14/90-(17)
…and Kyroot said:
Amidst the smoke and noise,
The young prince,
Climbed atop the heap,
That promised victory,
That presaged defeat,
Lifted ahigh his bloody sword,
And screamed out as though,
Cursing all possibilities,
“Let my own thoughts,
Be my revenge.”
03/14/90-(18)
…and Kyroot said:
In all proper Secondary activities,
The “Finish”,
Is always the “big part”,
(Assuming that what went before was smaller.)
03/14/90-(18.5)
…and Kyroot said:
There was this other little man who’ld do first things first and last things last,
but he had a brother who made up the difference.
(Somebody else wrote me again the
other day and said that they had a friend who knew someone who had heard about a person who still thought my mentions of fathers, kids, partners, brothers and the like, actually referred to
“other people – out there in the world”.)
03/14/90-(19)
…and Kyroot said:
Proclaimed one guy,
(After adequate encouragement,
Whether ’twas verbal or liquid I cannot say),
But announced he,
“Recognition,
For what is done,
Is not worth it.”

…and Kyroot said:
This one dude,
Suddenly said,
“Ain’t life grand.”,
And a few moments later wondered,
“What ‘made me say that?”,
(And around the corner,
Life slyly smiled.)
